The Assignment Link for Week Six is Activated

This week, you'll read an overview of the basis steps needed to prepare a research/analysis paper.  This overview should give you a good idea of where reading King's "Letter," your primary source, and taking research notes fit into the steps needed to write a research paper.  Over the next few weeks, you'll step through the various stages of this process, as you research, draft, and revise a research paper on King's rhetoric in the "Letter."  This week, you'll read and take research notes on outside, secondary sources (journal articles) dealing with King's rhetoric in the "Letter," and you'll focus these notes on the research topic on which your group is working.  In the process, you'll have a chance to learn more about taking good research notes, practice the often difficult process of making sense of secondary, scholarly sources, and learn more about working in groups.

Write with any questions you have as you step through the week's work.  Your questions are one means I use to drive the learning taking place in the class as a whole.
